✅: Supported - Official software distributions of the current HIP SDK release fully support this hardware.

⚠️: Deprecated - The current HIP SDK release has limited support for this hardware. Existing features and capabilities are maintained, but no new features or optimizations will be added. A future release will remove support.

❌: Unsupported - The current HIP SDK release does not support this hardware. Prebuilt HIP SDK libraries are not officially supported and might cause runtime errors.

Component support#

ROCm components are described in What is ROCm? Support on Windows is provided with two levels on enablement.

  • Runtime: Runtime enables the use of the HIP and OpenCL runtimes only.

  • HIP SDK: Runtime plus additional HIP components (as listed in API libraries).

Note

Some math libraries are Linux exclusive.

CPU support#

ROCm requires CPUs that support PCIe™ atomics. Modern CPUs after the release of 1st generation AMD Zen CPU and Intel™ Haswell support PCIe atomics.
