Detailed Description

This function computes the number of non-zero elements per row or column and the total number of non-zero elements in a dense matrix.

Note
The routine supports asynchronous execution if the pointer mode is set to device.
This routine does not support execution in a hipGraph context.
Parameters
[in]handle- handle to the rocSPARSE library context queue.
[in]dir- direction that specifies whether to count non-zero elements by rocsparse_direction_row or by rocsparse_direction_column.
[in]m- number of rows of the dense matrix A.
[in]n- number of columns of the dense matrix A.
[in]descr- the descriptor of the dense matrix A.
[in]A- array of dimensions (ld, n).
[in]ld- leading dimension of dense array A.
[out]nnz_per_row_columns- array of size m or n containing the number of non-zero elements per row or column, respectively.
[out]nnz_total_dev_host_ptr- total number of non-zero elements in device or host memory.
Return values
rocsparse_status_successthe operation completed successfully.
rocsparse_status_invalid_handlethe library context was not initialized.
rocsparse_status_invalid_sizem, n, or ld is invalid.
rocsparse_status_invalid_pointerA, nnz_per_row_columns, or nnz_total_dev_host_ptr pointer is invalid.
