Detailed Description

Set a device-wide attribute for a kernel on a specific device.

Sets attr for kernel on device without requiring device to be current. Supported attributes are hipFuncAttributeMaxDynamicSharedMemorySize, hipFuncAttributePreferredSharedMemoryCarveout, hipFuncAttributeRequiredClusterWidth, hipFuncAttributeRequiredClusterHeight, hipFuncAttributeRequiredClusterDepth, hipFuncAttributeNonPortableClusterSizeAllowed, and hipFuncAttributeClusterSchedulingPolicyPreference.

Attributes set with hipFuncSetAttribute override values set by this function for the corresponding device, regardless of call order.

Note

On AMD devices, non-portable cluster size and cluster scheduling policy are stored for readback but may not affect dispatch.
